The name comes from enoteca, an Italian word associated with tasting, gathering, and conversation. Yalenoteca brings that idea to Yale through intimate dinners centered around good food and good company.
It started from the idea that some of the best ways to meet people are the simplest ones — sitting down for a meal, being introduced to friends of friends, and spending time together outside of the usual campus setting.
The goal is to bring different parts of the Yale community together in a setting that feels intimate and social.

We've hosted events across Yale's campus — from grilling with the Yale Swim & Dive team, to cultural dinners with the South Slavic Society, to gatherings with groups like the Yale Student Investment Group. Through these collaborations, we engage with different parts of campus and connect with the broader Yale community through food and conversation.
