Yalenoteca began the way the best things do — naturally.
The name comes from enoteca, the Italian term for a wine-focused gathering place. What started as informal wine nights in the dorms became longer dinners: small groups, shared plates, unhurried conversation.
Inspired by Mediterranean tradition, where meals stretch on and connections form easily, Yalenoteca is a small attempt to bring that spirit to New Haven. A place to eat well, meet friends of friends, and let the evening unfold on its own.

We have hosted several events across Yale campus — from grilling with the Yale Swim & Dive team, to cultural dinners with the South Slavic Society, to clubs such as the Yale Student Investment Group. We truly engage across campus and try to connect with the broader Yale community through food, conversation, and good company.
